The setting
Pennsylvania Castle Estate’s clifftop setting provides charming views of Church Ope Cove and UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. The neo-gothic design of the Castle effortlessly combines intimacy, elegance and grandeur, beautifully refurbished with a modern look and feel. Moving through the grounds over sweeping manicured lawns, the beautiful Italian Garden & romantic English Rose Garden provide a secluded area to enjoy the best of the evening sunshine for after dinner cocktails and garden games.
The Venue
Pennsylvania Castle Estate is available on an exclusive basis offering you an intimate and relaxed backdrop for your wedding or event. Our events team will work with you to create your perfect day, providing a genuinely personalised experience with a seamless level of attention to detail. Your wedding can be as individual as you are, relaxed or extravagant, traditional, or extraordinary.
There are a number of licensed ceremony spaces, a mixture of indoor and outdoor, all with spectacular sea views. Dining is an important part of your wedding or event, where you choose to dine will depend on your guest numbers and the time of year. Our stunning Dining Room will seat up to 60 guests all year round. During the summer months the Orangery is in place seating up to 100. The team at Pennsylvania Castle Estate have cultivated great relationships with an outstanding selection of caterers who, between them, offer a fantastic range of options.

Floristry and Styling
The Penn Creative Collection can take care of all florals and styling for you, from large scale installations to smaller more intimate offerings. Our styling & events manager, Tessa will work with you to understand your vision and bring your ideas to life, whilst really understanding what styling is needed across your event spaces to truly create an immersive and atmospheric experience for all your guests. All floral arrangements are created in house by Tessa and her team, using carefully selected blooms and sustainable practices where possible.
Accommodation
Pennsylvania Castle and Clifftops Lodges are hired on a minimum two night exclusive basis, accommodating up to 40 guests.
Pennsylvania Castle sleeps up to 20, within 9 en-suite rooms and Clifftops an additional 20 across 10 bedrooms in 5 luxury self-catering lodges.

At Pennsylvania Castle Estate we pride ourselves on offering a bespoke service to ensure your wedding day or event is exactly as you imagined. You will be reassured by the wealth of knowledge and support from our Events Team, from initial viewing, throughout planning and on the day itself making sure your whole day runs as smoothly as it is planned, right up until guests’ departure.
