Welcome

Welcome to The Penn Estate.

We’ve so enjoyed working closely with Sarah and Mark over the past two years, creating a really special event for you all to enjoy.

On this site, you will find specific information regarding booking accommodation, event details, and answers to any questions we think you might find useful before, during, and after your visit to us.

Our Event Manager Chloe and her team will be facilitating the entire event for you, so if you have any queries on the day please feel free to ask a member of Estate staff and we’ll be delighted to help you.

Checking in and out

Checking in:

Your check-in time is 4 pm.

If you are staying in the Front Rows, enter the black gates to the right of the Estate Entrance and head down to your property. You will be sent an email the week before your stay with some important arrival information.

If you are staying in Clifftops, your check-in details will also be sent via email the week before your arrival. Each Clifftops property has allocated parking bays for one car per lodge in the Estate Entrance car park.

Please note you will not be able to gain access to Front Rows or Clifftops via the Castle Gates so please do follow the information detailed in your arrival information.

Checking out:

Across the Estate, guest checkout time is 10 am, so please ensure you have vacated your property and removed your vehicle by this time.

Support during your stay

The Estate Office is open Monday-Friday from 09:00 – 17:00, and you can contact us via email at office@thepennestate.co.uk or via phone on 01305820918.

FAQ’s

Can I check in early/check out late?

We often have a high volume of same-day changeovers, especially during peak wedding season. Therefore, we are unfortunately unable to provide an earlier check-in or a later check-out.

Do you have an iron available?

If you are staying in our Clifftops Lodges, there is an iron and an ironing board provided within your Lodge.
If you are staying in the Front Rows, we do have a small number available for guests to hire. Please contact the Estate office directly to request this.

What do I need to bring?

All of our properties come with bedding, towels, and tea and coffee-making facilities, so there’s no need to pack those.

If you’re staying in one of our Clifftops properties, complimentary toiletries will also be provided. For all other accommodations, we kindly ask that you bring your own toiletries.

As we are a self-catering estate, food and drink are not supplied outside of the event—please ensure you bring everything you’ll need for your stay.

The Estate can be found on the Pennsylvania Rd, between Wakeham and Southwell on the South West coats of the Island of Portland. If using a satnav, please use postcode DT5 1HU.

Noise Curfew

As you will be aware, the wedding celebrations will finish at 11 pm and you’ll then be invited to make your way back to your own accommodation.

Please note that there is an 11 pm noise curfew across the whole Estate, and therefore, we politely remind all guests to be mindful of other families staying with us that are not part of your wedding party.

Should you wish to continue any celebrations off-site, there are a number of pubs and bars open until late in Weymouth.

Pre-booking taxis in advance is essential due to our remote location and can be booked on 01305777777. Taxis should be arranged for pick-up from the main Castle Entrance no later than 11.30 pm.
