Real Wedding Styling – Rod & Kasha
Welcome to the first of our real wedding blogs. We know our couples find inspiration from looking at previous weddings held here at The Castle, so we are excited to share those details with you first hand including some key wedding styling elements.
R&K happened to choose a scorching day in late May to host their celebrations at Pennsylvania Castle, they opted for a smaller more intimate ceremony, with 45 of their closest family and friends. Whilst the wedding was a smaller affair no finer details were missed, creating a perfectly elegant look and feel. They chose to work with our in-house styling team, The Penn Creative Collection, to create customized setups throughout the day that reflected their unique style.
The Penn Creative Collection
.
For a decade, we’ve designed luxury interiors and immersive floristry and styling for our guests. Our styling team creates bespoke backdrops for elegant events, building personal links between our venue and guests. The Penn Creative Collection offers unique schemes for weddings, events, or home decor with our style and skill.
Starting at the beginning, we consider every aspect to create a comprehensive plan. We’re not just florists, but also a group of creative event planners who understand how decor can set the tone and mood.
Let us show you how The Penn Creative Collection crafted personalised styling for R&K’s special day.
Ceremony
R&K’s wedding at the Pagoda was beautiful, with stunning views and seasonal ivory and blush florals. The bouquet was a fragrant mix of eucalyptus, garden roses, ivory peonies, scabiosa, antirrhinum, and astrantia.
For their styling, we created asymmetric columns, filled with a mass of the palette florals, to frame the couple during the ceremony and for their cake cutting photo opportunity. The columns were moved to the Orangery, where they framed their semi-naked cake, creating interest in the room and allowing guests another chance to enjoy the florals R&K had chosen.
The rest of the ceremony styling featured repurposed florals as aisle decor and part of the tablescape. Gold accent lanterns and candlesticks, as well as elegant gold rim glassware and cutlery, completed the look on a neutral textured linen backdrop adorned with ornate hemstitch napkins.
Wedding Breakfast
We styled the K&R tablescape with long banquet tables, elegant neutral linens, and whitewashed cross-back chairs. It set the perfect formal but relaxed tone for Dorset Fine Dining’s menu in our Orangery.
R&K showed that intimacy doesn’t mean less. They chose areas for a ‘wow’ factor and photo opportunities. Maximizing florals is key to the look of an event, both financially and sustainably. The team can move and repurpose arrangements for guests to enjoy.
