The Penn Estate is Coming to Made in Chelsea

We’ve been keeping a little secret from the Estate…

This summer, we welcomed the cast and crew of Made in Chelsea to Portland, with filming taking place across The Penn Estate, including Pennsylvania Castle and Clifftops.

And now, we can finally share the news.

The Penn Estate, Dorset will feature on Made in Chelsea on Monday 12th October.

Set high above the sea on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, The Penn became the backdrop to the cast’s time in Dorset, and we’re rather excited to see our little corner of the coast on screen.

Chelsea, meet Dorset

There was something quite special about seeing the Estate transformed for filming.

From Pennsylvania Castle to Clifftops, familiar spaces became the setting for something completely different, all with the Portland coastline sitting quietly in the background. Filming took place across the Estate, with the production staying across Pennsylvania Castle, Clifftops and Front Rows.

When the episode airs, viewers will see the location credited simply as “The Penn Estate, Dorset”.

For those who know Penn well, there may be a few familiar views to spot along the way. For those discovering us for the first time, welcome to The Penn.

Pennsylvania Castle

At the heart of the Estate sits Pennsylvania Castle, surrounded by its private grounds and the rugged coastline of Portland.

The Penn is a place made for gathering.

For weekends shared with friends, long dinners which stretch late into the evening, family celebrations and, of course, weddings. With the Castle to yourselves, days here have a lovely way of feeling entirely your own.

It’s secluded and private, yet the sea is never far away.

Clifftops

Tucked into the landscape just moments from the Castle is Clifftops.

Striking in design yet beautifully at home within its coastal surroundings, the lodges are a celebration of contemporary architecture and their extraordinary setting. Clean lines, considered interiors and a close connection to the landscape create spaces that feel both distinctive and wonderfully peaceful.

Designed to make the most of life by the sea, Clifftops offers a completely different way to experience the Estate, where architecture and the rugged beauty of Portland sit effortlessly side by side.

Wedding at The Penn

For us, The Penn has always been about bringing people together.

A wedding here means making the Estate your own, gathering the people you love in one place and celebrating against one of Dorset’s most distinctive coastal backdrops.

Perhaps you’ll spot the Castle on screen and imagine your own celebration here.

We certainly wouldn’t blame you.

Spot The Penn on Screen

We’ve loved having the opportunity to share another side of the Estate and can’t wait to finally see it on screen.

So, settle in on Monday 12th October, 9pm on E4; keep an eye out for a familiar stretch of Dorset coastline and see if you can spot The Penn Estate along the way.

If it leaves you wanting to experience a little of The Penn for yourself, we’ll be here.
