Autumn On The Estate

Autumn On The Estate

We are starting to experience autumn on The Estate and our coastal location offers ideal vantage points to appreciate the ever-changing weather and breath-taking views.

We are here to talk to you about what The Estate has to offer. With a range of lodging options to meet any requirement and budget. Whether you’re looking for a large group vacation in our exclusive Castle, a secluded luxury retreat in our Clifftops Lodges, or a family-friendly getaway in Cove Park, we take pride in providing spaces that create lasting memories.

The Isle Of Portland

Before discussing potential places to settle in, it is important to take a closer look at The Estate’s location and the attractions it offers to make your stay more enjoyable this Autumn. Although it is known for being an ideal location to spend the summer, it is also the perfect place to escape during the colder months and witness the beauty of nature as winter approaches. Whether you are searching for a cosy local pub to escape the cold and spend your afternoon or a refreshing coastal walk, The Isle of Portland has plenty to offer during your visit.

The Castle

This Castle is available exclusively for hire, either as a self-catered property or with additional bespoke services arranged. With nine luxury en suite bedrooms, it can accommodate up to 20 guests, making it an ideal location for British staycations, family celebrations, or New Year’s extravaganzas. Whether you’re planning a family holiday or an annual get-together with friends this autumn period, this castle is the perfect place to create unforgettable memories during the autumn and winter seasons.

Clifftops

During the Autumn/Winter months, Clifftops provides the ideal setting for a cosy retreat with its warm fires and breath-taking views of stormy seas. Five Luxury Lodges hewn out of the Portland stone cliffs, that sit on the edge of Pennsylvania Castle Estate. A tranquil and secluded location ideal for a relaxing getaway. The lodges are individually named and decorated to reflect their environment. Together they tell the story of how the sea, stone, wildlife, weather and people shaped Church Ope Cove. We have named the lodges Blue, Stone, Copper, Silva and Ope.

Cove Park

With views out into the English Channel, Cove Park is the perfect base for those intent on making the most of all the Isle of Portland has to offer during the autumn months. The Park provides modern self-catered accommodation, ideally suited for its wide range of guests, from thrill-seekers to those looking for calm by the coast. The chalets, pods and holiday homes offer spectacular views looking out towards the sea and sunrise, and added extras such as bed & breakfast are available to make your getaway extra special.

Lodges

Our Lodges are a welcome retreat from the stresses of everyday life, providing comfortable and luxurious surroundings for those looking to get away. Wrapped up on the sofa with a hot chocolate in the autumn and winter months, the views are breath-taking throughout the year. Added extras can also be included with your stay such as breakfast baskets delivered straight to your door or the booking of local activities

The Hayloft

Sitting at the heart of The Estate, The Hayloft provides a meeting place for community groups, an exhibition space for local artists and a stop for visitors walking or cycling the coastline. With autumnal soups, paninis, cakes and hot chocolate treats, it is the perfect spot for enjoying an autumnal afternoon during your visit.

Whatever you are looking for, Pennsylvania Castle Estate welcomes you to join us in creating special and unique memories.
