Annabel & Alexander’s Pennsylvania Castle Estate Wedding | Real Wedding Inspiration

From coastal-inspired styling to unforgettable live music, Annabel and Alexander’s Pennsylvania Castle Estate wedding was a beautiful celebration filled with personal touches and meaningful moments.

Drawn to the unique combination of dramatic sea views and English countryside charm, the couple instantly fell in love with The Penn.

“We loved the combination of coastal beauty and an English countryside castle.”

From the beautifully maintained gardens to the light-filled Orangery, they felt the Estate perfectly reflected who they were as a couple.

A Coastal Wedding Inspired by Their Story

With backgrounds in marine industries, it was important that their wedding felt connected to the stunning coastal setting.

Their palette of blues, whites and greenery complemented the sea views beautifully, while our recommended supplier; Floral Couture by Jay created sculptural bouquets and a breathtaking broken arch for the ceremony.

The couple also included thoughtful tributes to family members through roses and forget-me-nots woven into the floral designs.

One of their favourite details was the addition of potted herbs on each table.

“They gave the most wonderful garden feel and perfumed the entire space.”

Thoughtful Food and Drink

Every element of the menu reflected A&A’s journey together.

Guests enjoyed canapés on the Clifftops Terrace before sitting down to a wedding breakfast featuring Dorset lamb, wild garlic, Isle of Wight tomatoes and Jersey Royal potatoes as a nod to Alex’s birthplace.

Their signature cocktails quickly became guest favourites. Named after their beloved dog Koda, the “Wake Up and Wag” espresso martini and “Tailspin” gin and tonic added a fun and personal touch to the celebrations.

Unforgettable Entertainment

Music played an important role throughout the day.

Friends performed live piano music during the ceremony, while saxophonist Alex Rimell entertained guests throughout the afternoon. Lawn games, sea views and sunshine created a relaxed garden party atmosphere.

One of the biggest highlights was the couple’s secret choreographed first dance, which surprised guests during a group photograph.

The celebrations continued with flower petal confetti cannons before Alex Rimell led guests from the terrace to the Reception Hall with a saxophone performance of Proud Mary. Joined by live band Rooster, the evening party got off to an incredible start.

“It was a fabulous way to transition from day to night and all of our guests loved the intrigue it created.”

A Wedding to Remember

“We would have to say that our highlight was saying our personal vows during the beautiful ceremony under the olive tree, overlooking the ocean. We have truly never felt so peaceful and loved every minute.”

Reflecting on their experience, A&A praised Chloe, Hattie, Laura and the entire Penn team for their support throughout the planning process.

“We really can’t thank the team enough for their expertise, time and care throughout this process.”

For couples planning their own wedding, their advice is simple: embrace the personal touches and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

“You’ll never know what is possible until you ask. Wedding planning can be fun, just remember that it is all about you and your love.”
