Location & Film
As seen on TV, in feature films and in national print, Pennsylvania Castle Estate is a unique location for film and photography shoots. Combining history, dramatic sea views and elegant interior design, there is much to offer in terms of it’s shot list. The Estate offers seclusion and privacy, as well as accommodation and catering for cast and crew. As seen in Made in Chelsea, Happy New Year Colin Burstead (Ben Wheatley), and for marketing campaigns for brands such as Champagne Pommery and Percy Nobleman.

Our Experience
Over the years the Estate has been used as the backdrop for film, TV and photography shoots. The team have a wealth of experience working with production teams to tailor their hire to the specificities of the project, cast and crew. Having previously worked on a wide range of shoots, all staff are well-equipped in this area.

Catering
Catering at Pennsylvania Castle has always been something special, from elegant tables set in the Castle Dining Room or casual BBQs across the Estate, right through to scheduled crew meals at The Hayloft. When it comes to film and location shoots this is no different, production managers work with the team at Penn Estate to choose the correct catering options for their project – a well fed team is a happy team!

Accommodation
A unique element to Pennsylvania Castle is not only its dramatic location but its ability to accommodate large crews for film and photo shoots. With accommodation within Penn Castle, to holiday homes and chalets in Cove Park, there are a wide range of options, keeping cast and crew in one place.

The Grounds
The Castle grounds include several individually themed areas, each one offering a different setting for shoots. The manicured Italian Gardens and English Rose Garden offer a classic setting and enjoy the best of the evening sunshine, whereas beyond the Castle grounds a path passes the ruins of the ancient 12th-century church of St Andrews and descends to Church Ope Cove, a picturesque and sheltered beach – a totally different film location. Sat within the grounds and into the cliffs looking down on Church Ope Cove is the latest addition to the Estate and a remarkable location for shoots. Hewn into the rocks of the cliffs the five luxury lodges have been designed to complement the rugged environment, whilst maintaining a sleek and modern interior aesthetic.
